The Health Equity Collective

Health inequities are often addressed in silos — through fragmented programs, short-term funding, or top-down initiatives that fail to center community needs. The Health Equity Collective set out to change that: to create a collaborative hub where equity isn’t just discussed — it’s actively designed and built.

As Chief Brand Officer (Creative, Strategy & Culture), I lead the brand, creative direction, and colead the strategic and cultural structure of the Collective:

  • Co-Design for Healing Systems: Partnered with over 260+ members — from grassroots leaders to national organizations — to build tools, frameworks, and spaces rooted in community wisdom.

  • Unlocking Resources: Developed strategies and narratives that helped communities access unrestricted funding, partnerships, and institutional support previously out of reach.

  • Narrative & Identity: Shaped the brand identity and storytelling that positioned the Collective as a trusted hub for equity-driven design.

  • Culture & Engagement: Designed rituals, communication frameworks, and convenings that kept a large, diverse membership aligned and inspired.

The Impact

  • Helped move $13M+ in funding toward community-led solutions over 5 years.

  • Scaled the Collective from a vision to a network of 260+ engaged members that we actively invest in (and growing).

  • Positioned the Health Equity Collective as a national model for how design, culture, and strategy can transform equity work.
