Stock Pal
A friend that is an experienced investor came to me (a novice one) with an idea that we could rethink how we approach learning how to invest to support financial security for our communities. In research, we found that new investors want an accessible way to learn about investing, while investing and engaging with their own community, which could eliminate the fears at entry. This insight helped us clearly define and execute the mission:
Your everyday life should help make you financially secure. Stock Pal™ offers an intuitive social investment experience powered by investor-provided access to their social media activity, and learning modules along the way.
For design, the goal was to make onboarding so simple and intuitive that investment learning feels natural. I created a clear onboarding process that puts the control in the user’s hands while educating them on their decisions.
I developed the visual identity using design thinking methodology, A/B testing and refining iterations, we were able to offer a sense of trust and control over what type of data we had and how we used their data. This was the most important concern with our end user.
We are working with developers to push the project from limited live to official launch.
